I would not say that paying 4.5 euros for each bottle of water standing up by the bar without live music was such a big deal. The money was not an issue. We are used to paying that and even more in some of our countries' cities and we can afford it. It is however here in Madrid just totally... 更多
We came by to listen to some light jazz music, and that's what we got. Standing in a crowded bar, drinking wine, listening to the music. Fun. It was nice to see how varied the crowd was - from youngster to oldsters, hipsters to geeksters, singles, couples, groups.
An excellent place to listen to some smooth jazz! Because of the FREE entrance it gets packed once the music starts, but we found a spot to sit and enjoy the great music and our very reasonably priced 3.5€ beers! Certainly has an atmosphere and charm to it, and I would not hesitate to go back next time I visit... 更多
A fab night in a totally cool jazz bar...just following guide book suggestions we tried cafe central but it was full so we opted for populart. Well it was definitely not 2nd best..it was our gain. No cover charge, reasonable drink prices (what's all the giving out about prices?) given the calibre of the music. We had a wonderful night... 更多
Nice place with a nice decor. You have there a lot of different types of music, all of them live music, jazz included, It is very popular in Madrid and the only problem is that usually is full of people so if you want to be seated in a nice place, go early. Calle Hertas is very near from Plaza... 更多
