The Kio Towers at the Plaza de Castilla seem to be leaning toward each other, making the sight very unusual because one is afraid that they may fall down. We passed this place several times when we were in Madrid.
Interesting towers to see. Nice place to start exploring parts of madrid inside and outside the centre. An area to 'discover' Madrid for yourself apart from just Sol and Gran Via.
If you want the centre, bus 27 is a nice trip down paseo castellana, passing many wonderful buildings and cibeles and neptuno fountains. Past the Prado and to atocha...
The Torres Kio have very unusual architecture because they are leaning towards each other and people wonder if they are safe. The Paseo de la Castellana passes between the two towers. The towers contain the Bankia bank, a large bank with a controversial past.
The Puerta de Europa has the Kio Torres, two buildings that seem to be leaning towards each other. They belong to Bankia, one of the largest banks in Spain. The Paseo de la Castellana passes between the two leaning towers, making it a very unusual place to pass.
