This very large public square in La Coruna was the site for Christmas attractions including children's activities. The surrounding buildings are also very attractive, especially the town hall.
This plaza is really wide and beautiful. You reach it through small streets full of bars and restos, and end up in this big open area. Maria Pita's statue is in the middle of the square and the town hall is right away! Architecture is great and excelente place for some pics
At first glance it looks as if the buildings are more windows than walls. These are the galerias which are nothing more than a balcony, but one that is enclosed in a glass frame protecting it from Galicia's cool winters and making it usable all year round. It's a nice square, very simetrical and with the city hall in one side. Al the old houses arrojando are really nice. You should go Bustamante night, and even better if it's raing, if so you will be Abel to se an GALICIA city as it should be seen
A nice spot to sit out and enjoy a coffee or lunch. Not as impressive as other squares in Europe but worth stopping here before a wander around the old town
visited the square on a rainy day but the plaza was still very beautiful! tried to go inside but Policia at door wouldn't let us in unfortunately. Surrounding streets full of shopping and choices to eat/drink its worth a trip to see the plaza!
This place is essential to know the old town center. Very accessible by car, we can park underneath the Plaza. Normally in Spain this places are known as Plaza Mayor.
