The Passeig Arqueologic is a part of the Roman complex. A 7-50E ticket gives you access to 4 sites and has no time limit. This is terrific value. The Passeig is a lovely walk around the city walls with loads of information boards and plenty of places to stop and relax.
I expected more than finally was. Perhaps I haven't read about it. The best are the views in the top and try to imagine who the romans lived in their times.
Make sure you do a little research before hand as info is sparse, but there are some great scenes, just a shame there's not much more explination.
I'd give a good review just because you can visit the roman circus by entering in it. It should be better, with more informations about the city and more english in the guidelines!
When you go to Tarragona, you have to see the amphitheater, the circus, and definitely the Passeig Arqueologic. It is ramped walk along a very impressive Roman wall around the old Roman city. Pretty amazing walls still 8m high in places deriving from the punic wars (200BC yes BC). Massive cyclopean foundation stones topped by a high cut masonry wall and a small topping of medieval blockwork. There are the occasional cyclopean doors and other items of interest, Do go see, Note also same thing: the walls of Tarragona.
We loved this oasis of greenery and amazing history in Tarragona. Slightly hidden in the northern part of the old town, it was not crowded and we mostly had it to ourselves. The progression of the walls from Hannibal days through the Empire and medieval times was beautifully marked and fascinating to observe. Don't miss this if visiting lovely Tarragona!
