This "lion" (in my opinion, it doesn't really resemble a lion...) is located at the base of Sant Feliu. Legend has it, if you kiss the lion's bottom you will return to Girona again. Another attraction we would have missed without the tour. There is a small plaque that describes its importance though it's only in Spanish. Apparently there used to be so airs and people would kiss the lion's butt, BUT we're told someone fell and hit their head resulting in death. The statue shown is a replica.

This is a small statue near the river. It really isn't that interesting but it has tradition. There used to be two little steps to climb up so that you could kiss it. Since the recent tragic accident the two steps have been removed.
if you have to chose between this attraction and the ice cream parlour across the street...the ice cream is quite good. fun to watch tourists climbs a 2 steps ladder to get in position to kiss the little lion's behind, location very central, otherwise it would not be worth go looking for it
