Spent an afternoon here, there is so much to see here, to much of the religious relics,but once you get pass this it is very good. Its a overload of stuff, very interesting. Don't put down anything on any exhibits they watch you all the time and will be on to you in a flash.
This is a little gem. Won't be everybody's cup of tea but a remarkable, eclectic collection of carved wooden religious statuary downstairs and the two floors upstairs that are like Tut's tomb. Hard to describe but well worth a visit if you like something a bit offbeat. Lovely courtyard outside with very nice little restaurant to end the visit.
Odd yet fascinating, we basically tripped into the museum and passed an hour or so really to cool down from the sun, and re-climatise. Full of some remarkable statue,s . We did not see everythng but if you want somewhere to cool down or get out of a down poor, this is it.
Frederic Mares collected many things and much of it (all?) is on display in this museum. Many, many religious statues of Jesus on a cross, wall and walls arrayed with the figure and almost all had the head to the left.
