The drive up can be a bit of an ordeal, very windy roads, and quite narrow and steep at times, BUT you get the most amazing views, as you climb through the clouds. At the top you have the Observatories, and then past them and a bit further up there is a small car park, and you can walk up... 更多
This is a beutiful place to visit if there are no clouds and the sun is shining. Little wind is a big plus. Keep in mind that there are no cafes and toilets around.
Roque de los Muchachos is the highest point of the island of La Palma with 2426 Meters above sea level. You have an astonishing view of the Caldera de Taburiente, the Pico de Teide in Tenerife and on clear days also the islands of La Gomera and El Hierro. Since it is - together with Hawaii - one of the... 更多
Amazing drive up through the clouds, and once you are over the cloud cover the views are absolutely breath-taking! Clear blue skies and magnificient views! A must!

After you pass the huge telescopes, the road becomes even bumpier, as you approach this view point. It is stupendous. And to add a little extra,... 更多
We parked the car at the Mirador de los Andenes and then took a walking trail of 4.6km to Roque de Los Muchasos. The trail is quite easy with just several steep parts. The views on caldera are great, the landscape looks pretty dramatic. The path leads up to the observatory. Definitely one of the must sees on La Palma.
The car registered -0.5C, factor in the wind chill and it felt very cold. Ice had formed on the foliage. It was a very misty day so we didn't see much. We'll have to come back and see it on a clear day.
