Just returned from a weeks holiday at the Pez Espada. Weather great for Jan/Feb. Not all premises open but there were plenty of shops and bars etc open. Found a nice little bar/cafe, "The Cosy Corner". Good food. Reasonable prices. La Carihula was spotlessly clean.
Prior to our visit, I researched "family-friendly" beaches and Carihuela came up first. We were not disappointed. We wandered the clean, sandy beach barefoot. There were playgrounds and water spouts to rinse our feet once we walked back on to the pedestrian walkway. Look for street parking one or two blocks up before wandering down to the beach. Take a stroll along the carihuela, there's always something happening here. Fishermen fishing, joggers jogging , sunbathers (you get the idea!) It's one of hose places where it's great just to sit and watch the world go by over a coffee or a beer. Beach goers are well catered for too with beds and parasols for hire , the sea... 更多
Playa La Carihuela is an excellent sandy beach, ideal for sunbathing. There were a few shingles on entering the sea but only a minor inconvenience. The sea was lovely for the first week but much colder (19 degrees) the second week following a storm.
November this year my wife and I stayed in the Rui hotel along La carihuela Both my wife and I have walking problems The area is completely flat so we found that suitable As you walk along there is a lot of fantastic sand art work and Places to rest . As you continue your walk there are a lot... 更多
Nice stretch of beach to Benalmadena marina. Get there at dawn maybe on an early morning run and see the wonderful sunrises out of the sea. Good promenade with endless places to eat and drink and no traffic.
We both use mobility scooters, hired locally and the promenade which is flat and level goes right through La Carihuela. There are a lot of interesting shops and cafes selling all manner of goods. One can turnoff the prom into Calle Bulto which has beautiful apartments above more shops. Halfway down this street is La Tahona - a bakery with... 更多
The first time I went to the Carihuela, about twenty years ago, the promenade was still unfinished, and it was all a bit cheesy, except for the old villagey parts behind the beach. It still has a few cheesy elements, after all, it's Blackpool on the costa, but it's much improved. The beach is well manicured, and loungers are well... 更多
