as a definite bonsai enthusiast we had to search out this treat while in marbella. if you walk through marbella's lovely old quarter it takes some finding, but keep going, the museum is located in a long narrow park in a big building near a big bridge that spans over the park. some 25 years old? the main central part... 更多
This was a nice place to wander around and just enjoy some time away form the beach. The beach is lovely, as a break wandering up thorough the town and old town and the pondering over what these little trees must have seen and heard in their long lives is a pleasant way to spend an afternoon.
This museum was a real surprise. It is small but then that is very fitting to the exhibits within. Set in a delightful park the museum is a real treat. Beautifully crafted Bonsai which are just works of art. At every turn you can see the love and dedication put into each tree. The sheer ages of some of the... 更多
The bonsai museum is located in the park to the north of the Old town. We asked the hotel, but they did not know of its existence. Well worth a visit. At 4 euros each, you are contributing to its maintenance. All the tress were well displayed and cared for. We did not expect to find a Bonsai Museum here,... 更多
Cute place, not very large with a small number of bonsais. The visit doesn´t take long, less than an hour, if you are in the neighborhood, it´s worth a visit, but I´m not sure I´d drive there to visit.
Charming little museum. Japanese style. Calm atmosphere. Really old bonsai specimens. Admire the skill and care taken over decades. Informative displays. Turtles in the water features!
If you like bonsai this isthe place, lots of amazing bonsai set in a small museum. Water feature in the centre of the main room with bonsai growing on the rocks gives the place a peaceful quality in keeping with Japanese tradition . Bonsai from 40 years to 500 years old.
Who would have thought that there was a terrific bonsai museum in Marbella? It was wonderful - peaceful and open! We were there during a 'festa' that had other museums closed. We love bonsai so this was a real treat. It is very easy to find
Obviously you have to have some interest in Bonsai trees to go. They intrigue me so we took a visit there. A lovely collection of Bonsai's that are set in a nice walk through. Enjoyable and would go again. Staff were very helpful too in our somewhat broken English/Spanish conversation kind of handwaving mime thing we had going on;)
