Visited this amazing Cathedral during the day. THEN in the evening we watched the parade as the young men and women carried the 1,000 kg 'throne' - which we had seen in the cathedral earlier in the day. A great experience
Whilst in the old quarter of Marbella we visited this church. It's beautifully maintained inside and outside. Even if you do not have a faith, the stain glass windows and religious figures are magnificent.
This church in the center of Marbella is my favorite. Many times a day you can go to visit a mass but also when there is nothing going on it's worth the visit!
Highly recommend visiting the church as the interior is absolutely stunning and a peaceful place to sit a while and thank God for the beauty of Marbella.
This is a lovely little church outside in a pleasant plaza. But inside it simply glows. Compared to many steadily deteriorating churches in Spain it is clear that there is a sensible maintenance programme here and the money to carry it out. Lovely old 17th-century space with exquisite chapels...here you van see the Spanish penchant for dressing up their saints in real clothes and killer halos. It is an oasis of calm and faith in the middle of very attractive commercialism. It is it everyone's faith but certainly heartfelt and it communicates well. Take a few minutes and be moved.
