Surprisingly very nice museum with artists not well known but with great pieces of art. Dissapointed Sorolla but satisfied with the rest. Can be visited in 2 hours easy. Keep an eye in the small room where they keep the Zurbarán. We almost missed it as this room is a bit more hidden.
This museum was very easy to find; well signposted although hidden down one of Malaga's many side streets. The internal layout is modern minimalist, very easy to follow and filled with natural light. In the heart of the city the Thyssen is a must see on a hot summer day to escape the scorching sun. Some interesting pieces the most interesting aspect for us was how the Thyssen seems to be setting the agenda for the future of Malaga. We like it a lot.
This is a wonderful collection of Spanish art of the 18th and 19th Century. There were some works of recognizable universal artists, but most names were unknown to me.
