Personally I love Julio's style of painting. I had never beard of him before Cordoba trip! Beautiful soulful paintings, tinged with passion and sadness. Definitely worth a visit and building is lovely too. Takes about 1 hour to go round. We got €10 ticket which includes Alcazar Caliphate bathes Museum Taurino too. Good value!!
Good place to spend an hour between the afternoon traipse around the sights and dinner. Free for EU citizens (includes UK for the moment!) - ID required.
I like visiting art exhibitions generally but I found this place depressing. Most of the paintings have the same subject and the overall impression for me was sadness and obsession. We visited this excellent gallery in September 2016 and were really glad we did. This museum starts with a little context in that the artists father and other family members were also artists - so there are a few family pictures. Super small art museum devoted to this s Spanish artist Never heard of him but recall one of his paintings of a beguiling nude with oranges Blissfully cool and a retreat from the searing heat outside so you can appreciate the art whilst luxuriating in the cool air It's mostly in Spanish so it's worthwhile to look him up on... 更多
First, because of my ignorance, I thought this is a museum for a bull fighter. After getting in I realized that is something totally different, and I don't regret this visit. The museum is one of an artist and even is not one of great names his operas are beautiful.
Small gallery easy to visit. Closed Monday. Free tue-fri 8.30am-9.30am. there's a printed guide in vending machine for €3 at entrance as no photos allowed (we didn't get so don't know how good). There's another small gallery in same court yard. Go in past ticket office(that's for other gallery) and this gallery is on the right. Staff not very friendly.
This museum concentrates on the work of the local artist. Some may say the work is "chocolate-box" art and unless you are keen on art it is ok to skip this museum. The square is also home to the fine arts museum in the City. IF you have visited the art galleries in Madrid and Seville this is a museum... 更多
