A once-forgotten medieval synagoue, which survived as a warehouse and dance hall. Excellent displays of medieval Jewish life in Erfurt, with a superb audio giude in various languages.
Interesting Jewish history in a very special building. I was told by a Historian that many years ago, while the building was being restored, valuable items were found buried underneath the building which nowadays are exhibited in the museum. Fascinating!

The audio guide tells you the story of pogroms, revival and pogroms again of the Jewish community in Erfurt. Their jewels, and the layout of their temple. Very interesting and a view of history.
