The atmosfere of the books about the Buddenbrook-family, a fantasy but with historic roots, is well depicted here. I was not too interested in the life of Thomas Mann and his family but my wife is a great fan of his work and was impressed in this museum.

Some rooms had furniture from the original family and exhibits about the book Buddenbrooks and its author, Thomas Mann, abound in the house. There is a small charming shop selling nice items.

The facade on Meng Strasse was stunning, as you see from the pictures but Luebeck city should be ashamed that they have stuck a large, garish car park sign just on the left of the house, which it is difficult to avoid when... 更多
