We enjoyed our walk around the grounds and decided to purchase tickets to see the inside of the castle. We paid five bucks extra to take pictures. this is a gorgeous art museum with many Rembrandt's and Ruben's painting. There were very few people in the museum so we had great access. Wish the parking was more handicapped accessible.
We didn't go into the Schloss itself, just admired it within its parkland. I don't know what it would have looked like a hundred years ago but from the hill above the Schloss you can see the perfectly straight road that leads through Kassel for miles as it approaches the building. This place is a must visit. Not only because you will see the Schloss of Wilhelmshohe but also because there is a castle located nearby. We spend several hours going through this beautiful Castle with all the beautiful Paintings. On the top floor were Paintings from Rembrandt which I enjoyed especially. I would recommend this to everyone visiting the area as one of the must see places.
