My friend and I went on a walking tour this being included in the walk. It was absolutely packed and not easy to get near or take decent photos. There were people riding past on beer carts and segways. It is worth seeing but not when you almost have to fight to get through. We went about 1pm.
The Branenburg Tor is not to be missed due to it's history. It was considerably destroyed during WWII. It was inaccessible when THe Wall was up. It is near the Reichstag and a gathering place for visitors. It is now a symbol of reunification.
The history of the Gate is worth exploring. There are photographs and commentary in the Brandenburg Tor metro station at the bottom end of the square. So even if not taking the train, take a walk down the stairs to the platform to review the history. The square is usually filled with tourists and there is a Starbucks just off... 更多
