Went on tour arranged by TAUCK River cruise boat Savor. Took private bus from boat across river. It was cold and there is an excellent Christmas market inside the grounds of this palace. It is the best Christmas market in Regensberg. The palace tour was spectacular. Very interesting structure and family. Highly recommend.
Such an interesting experience! One follows the climb of the family from step to complex step in the imperial aristocracy. The reason they could climb, was that the mail monopoly brouht in enough money (and connections) to pay for the task expected of the family. Sounds like modern politics! Money comes first! The palace is exquisite yet its opulence can... 更多
Difficult to locate as no proper signs can be found anywhere in the area. Worth every effort. Four stars out of five as with a little bit of effort and investment visitors can be allowed to roam around and not be tied up by the German speaking guide.
This palace is very well taken care of. We enjoyed this almost as much as seeing the rooms at Schoenbrunn. The family clearly had a great deal of money and spared little expense in building this palace. We had a lovely guide. She would answer our questions in English if we had some. The tours are in German so you... 更多
This has been my favorite palace visit that I've done in Europe. The palace is actually lived in so it doesn't feel like a museum piece. It's well designed and decorated They only offer tours in German. However, there is an English audio guide that is quite good. Additionally, the tour guide took the time to explain to us (in... 更多
We went on the 90 minute tour to get the recording in English, the tour was in German. The english was well done, but the guide must have had some good stories, took at least 3 times as long to tell each of the 17 stations. You cannot get ahead as doors are locked. The palace is beautiful and would... 更多
I had passed by this location daily for over a year and never went though it I finally did on a recent visit. Enjoyed the guided tour and small restaurant. Used English headset for the tour most of the time but could also follow the German presentation both were pretty close but not always in the same sequence.
We have driven by this property many times- it's huge. We finally decided to take a tour. If you are interested in history it is well worth the time and cost.
Had no real plan for our day in Regensburg, walked in to find a guided tour starting in 5 min. we took the English headsets because the tours are given only in German. The English version is a much less detailed description, the tour only walks you through a few rooms of the palace, nothing special about this tour unless... 更多
We were very confused by the size of the property. We started at the back and found our way into an amazing old church then found the museum shop around the corner to purchase a ticket for the tour. The size of the palace and audio box made it nice although the German guide appeared to be very animated and... 更多
