The architecture of this museum is very interesting and worth seeing. I enjoyed the exhibits, but at the same time I found there was very little information about individual works or artists compared to other modern art museums I have visited. It also seemed fairly small, it didn't take long to go through it at all. However it did have... 更多
This is a very cool but hard to find museum it is located only a few blocks from the HauptBahnhof and after walking over an hour to find it I will give the scoop. It is hidden behind buildings down a narrow alley. So the easy way is to start at train station walk directly across like walking to OLD... 更多
This is for the serious modern art lovers. As with most modern art museums (except the MOMA in NYC which is cramped and crowded), the building itself is as interesting as the exhibits. The minimalist impact here in a white background is just stunning. In the courtyard as you enter the museum, there is a well juxtaposed display of oil... 更多
....but I did not find it as interesting as I hoped. If contemporary art is your thing, definitely go. The building itself is cold and rather odd, to my eye. A nice gift shop, no restaurant. For my money, see the art (several locations) in the German National Museum. But if you like bales of hay painted blue, for example,... 更多
It you're an architect you will like already the building. If you're a modern art lover, you will like everything. At least if the exhibition will be nice :) Inside is a good shop with art books
This modern building is just besides the city wall, and has a striking architecture. However if you are not into late-20 century German art, you can just take a look to the entrance hall and skip the museum.
Amazing building though the content of the exhibition is rather limited and not breathtaking at all. Cheap admission fee 6eur. Even if Kids behave very well, staff give immediately and multiple orders not to touch anything, speak loudly or run. So not childfriendly at all.
A pompous, overblown building with a less than exciting collection. It was almost deserted on our visit, not surprising in my opinion. An amazing lack of signage, presumably it would sully the architecture.
