Chilly and frosty New Years Day hike that was a blast. Our 9-year old daughter easily did it, without slipping on any of the ice, so can be done by most anyone. Of course the restaurant was closed for the season, but the hiking trails were open. And when there is enough snow would be a great Nordic ski or... 更多
We took the Kranzberg Ski Lift to the top and hiked the path first to Lautersee Lake and then another 25 minutes to Ferchensee Lake. A small restaurant is the only building on the lake. Stop for a beer or lunch outside on the patio/deck. Ferchensee is not a huge lake, we expected it to be much bigger from the... 更多
Lovely lake to walk to and around. There is a pleasant hotel which provides refreshments and facilities. It is possible to walk on to other attractions if you have the stamina. All routes are well marked, including with estimated times to complete.
Walked and bussed (free bus on Karwendel pass) on a couple of occasions. The view is fantastic, but we preferred the smaller lake Lautersee. Good location for walking to and from and the restaurant on the lake was okay
We walked here from Mittenwald. the signs indicated that it would take about 90 minutes but we did it in an hour. The walk is beautiful and there and many paths that you can take through lovely scenery. When you reach the lake it opens out in front of you and is quite stunning. The lake is used for swimming... 更多
I visited this place a several time and I liked it every time, because it' s beautiful in every season. In summer you can swim there, the water is very clean.
We reached Ferchensee Lake by hiking to Lautersee Lake (30 minutes from Mittenwald) and then following a well-formed track and a road for another 30 minutes. All tracks are well signed and not difficult. We hiked on a sunny day in an unusually mild winter. It was warm for the first part of the hike, but after Lake Lautersee temperatures... 更多
The walk is not very difficult from the town center of Mitterwald. Takes less than an hour with 2-3 nice beer gardens on the way.
A high alpine lake suurrounded by woods & mountains. Somewhat idyllic. You can easily walk there from Mittenwald or just catch the tourist bus. If you're hungry there's a nearby inn which serves excellent food & beer
