Memories can be funny but also hurtful.... It's very important to have some places that help us NOT to forget what exactly happened to our countries (fotos, storical contexts, witnesses etc). This place is wonderful for that and I appreciate very much their efforts to make it interesting and detailed.... everybody speaks about the Normandie, Paris or many other famous... 更多
Thought we would just drop in for an hour...ended up spending three hours there. Fascinating history of the French resistance going way back before World War II and detailing a lot about the individuals who helped save many Jewish residents and others as well.
Small but interesting museum. We initlally went in because it was free , but were glad we did! Well laid out museum. Also had very thought -provoking exhibition of "The disappeared" in South America
A very interesting overview of resistance activity in the Grenoble region. The English exhibit blurbs were kind of tiny and hard to read but helpful. Some areas were quite atmospheric and moving.
Very informative, lots of artifacts, pictures and 3d maps to introduce visitors to day-to-day life in the darks of italian then german occupation of Grenoble during WWII. Also a few stories about courageous men and woman who fought against the dictatorship of the Vichy regime. At anytime, visit the temporary exhibition of the ground floor. the current one is about the... 更多
Quentin Tarantino decided to create a movie about it. Many people lost their lives for it. Many thanks given to those people. French Resistance. Visit this museum.
A really interesting museum - there was a special exhibition of First World War that didn't have English translations but all the rest did. Gave a very good idea of what it must have been like to be French and occupied during WW2
not worth a visit if you already have knowledge of the résistance and deportation. Basically only some old photos and copies of some documents but no first hand material or anything to cause the visitor to somehow experience what those times were like.
loved my visit here - stopped in on a whim and am so glad that i did. this museum gives a unique perspective on Grenoble as it was tied to WWII. impressive atmosphere, and i appreciated that the descriptions were offered in 3 languages.
I love that museums in Grenoble are free. This one is about a unique perspective of Grenoble history - it's role in World War II, as a city in the "free zone" and its resistance against the Nazis. This museums suffers from a mistake of many museums. There can be too much information, and when translated into English (with some... 更多
