Best views in Chamonix in the summer - get cablecar from la Flegere and then go one directional to either Argentiere or Col des Montets - both routes are spectacular
One of the more popular and easy-access hikes and it is beautiful here. But come early, not very nice when it gets more crowded later in a sunny day.
Accessible on foot either from the Flegere lift, or walking from any number of access points. It's a big, rocky walk, at altitude, but the scenery is quite incredible. Walking down is just as hard as walking up. Worth the effort.
It's always nice to arrive at Lac Blanc for a drink, a meal or a dip in the water on a hot day. The walk up from Col des Montets is a classic and from the other direction taking the cable car and then chairlift to l'Index and then walking to Lac Blanc takes in some great mountain scenery. We... 更多
A stiff hike, but well-worth the effort. The views from the balcony of the refuge are sensational, as is their gratin Savoyarde, the best in Chamonix. Coming up the back way via les lacs des Cheserys on the ladders is a hoot. Suggest doing it early in the morning to avoid huge crowds on a sunny day.
If you are up for a good hike and don’t want to spend your euros on lifts the best way to Lac Blanc (2352m) starts at Col des Montets. We drove to Argentière from Chamonix for a quick breakfast at a pastry shop and picked up some baguettes, salami and cheese for lunch. Then we continued on D1506 to Col... 更多
One of the best day hikes I've ever done. Cable car from La Flegere was closed so I hiked from Argentiere to Lac Blanc and went down to Tre La Champ. Superb mountain views of the Mont Blanc and surrounding area as well as of the Chamonix valley. Highly recomended.
We got the Index cable car and walked across to Mont Blanc. Unfortunalty it started to rain just before we reached Lac Blanc. The Lac was still stunning, even if only for a few minutes before we hiked back to La Flagere cable car in the rain. A stunning hike with great views.
I cannot say Lac Blanc is amazingly beautiful but the road there definitely is. Worth your time and efforts, as it is not an easy hike with young children and a back carrier is advisable under five years of age. Big time.
