There are four tours each day (11.30, 2.30, 3.30, 4.30) all in French. The committee that runs the Chateau has quite recently closed the room with most paintings because we are told "too many people who went into the room were only interested in the view from the windows". On that reasoning it is surprising that three further rooms have... 更多
This chateau is unusual in being built right beside the sea. You can walk around the lower walls by the beach/sea. To go inside is not expensive and is well worth the visit. The gardens are lovely and have unusual art works, nooks and crannies to enjoy. We took the guided tour. Although it was in French the guide spoke... 更多
Hidden in plain sight, just a straight 10k run from Cannes along the Riviera coastline, is the little beachside town of Mandelieu La Nepoule. First and foremost, there is a fantastic beach, clean and shallow, well-served by shower, toilet and snack bars. But there's so much more, too - a lovely little village to explore, a very decent local market,... 更多
Stumbled on this and went in. So glad we did. The film is well worth watching. It's a timeless love story and the castle stands as a monument to that love and to the prodigious talent of them both. This would have been enough to make it worth a visit but we stopped for a drink on the terrace and,... 更多
I was there for a week with a group from the Maine College of Art. It was a painting holiday. It isn't a hotel where you can just rent a room. I had a fantastic little room with a view and sound of the ocean. My bed was an old wooden one that was probably used by one of the... 更多
it is a very nice castle with some arts and fun activity for kid (treasure hunt). the coffee shop has a great view on the lake and down is the sand beach
This beautiful Chateau and gardens are absolutely stunning and are brimming with history. Take a leisurely stroll around the gardens.. lose yourself in your surroundings and soak up the ambience and "romance" of this wonderful place. The entrance fee is very reasonable. There's also a cafe on site. This was one of the highlights of my recent holiday on the... 更多
The gardens are beautiful and not too expensive (6 euros for adults, under 16 free). Make sure you book for the tea shop however as they are a bit snooty and not particularly friendly if you haven't pre booked.
We travelled to La Napoule from Cannes - the 20a bus goes from the hotel de vile straight there and costs 1euro 50 each - great value. The chateau itself is a few minutes walk from the Balcon D'Azur bus stop. Good admission price with under 16s free. Gardens at beautiful and lovely to wander in. The Salon du The... 更多
First noticed this Chateau from the beach. Walked up the road to see more. When you purchase a ticket, you're able visit again free of charge. This Chateau is so quaint & picturesque. The story behind it is wonderful. Won't tell you the story. Go and visit it and find out.
