A little history for anyone exploring the bunkers. In September 1944, a good friend was captured near the bunkers. He was part of the 509th PIB and was leading a patrol up the pass towards what is now Isola 2000. They were on the foot trail which is still there today. He was wounded and captured along with 4 other... 更多
Returned to Isola after 39 years. The hotels and the major complex is still quite boring, not much going on. Skiing on the other hand is easy accessible and well connected even though there was a shortage of snow during our stay. Normally isola is known for very fine off post runs, a lot of snowfall and sun. Slopes are... 更多
We spent a week skiing week Jan 7-14 2017 and were really impressed. We were a group of five, ranging from good skiers to a complete beginner. So long as you do not want an enormous ski area, this resort offers enough for skiers of every level. The front-de-neige offers a long and easy green run, serviced by button lifts.... 更多
We stayed for 8 days Christmas and New Year, and maybe that a litteratur too long. WE stayed in Chastellion- and DO NOT BOOK this Hotel -- <It´s a complete rip off! But Isola 2000 is only some 90 km from NIce, so if you like both the coastal climate, sea and skiing, this is pretty close to ideal.. The... 更多
It's not easy to get snow in December but ISOLA 2000 is good place to get snow anyway during X mas. With so much luck, we had white snow x mas there and fully enjoyed ski ! However, the center is quite small and all the chalet is a bit far to walk around in the evening for going out,... 更多
A nice small ski station with lots of activities for kids as well as for grown ups.... This place is pretty small so not much of walking to do... There is a vast choice of restaurants as well....a must do if you are in or around Nice...a 90 minutes drive would get you here...
We have been skiing in Isola 2000 over the last few years and it's great, perfect for families. The skiing is really good for all levels and there are some excellent restaurants serving quality food and wine. It's a place that's under the radar and not as well known as it should be!
What an amazing ski resort! This was our first ski trip ever so I don't have anything to compare it with, but I have no complaints AT ALL!!! This is an all french ski resort with lovely food and amenities. The main building connects most of the hotels, restaurants, entertainment, and shops so you don't need to walk outside if... 更多
We had thought about Isola 2000 as a skiing destination on many occasions but nearly always ended up back in the Savoie and Haute Savoie regions for the sheer size and reliability of the skiing. However, a friend was very enthusiastic about her second weekend trip to Isola so we thought perhaps we'll try it over Easter when we won't... 更多
