Well kept historical site, good historical information, and great views. Staff was courteous and helpful with additional information of La Rochelle
Standing guard on one side of the old port this is must-see destination if you have any interest in the local history. You shouln't be disappointed.
The displays were interesting as was the climb up the tower. It was well worth the effort as the views all around town were excellent.

Not a place to make a special journey to but as part of a tour of the city a good place to spend half an hour. Make sure you buy a ticket to see the group of towers rather than buy separately.

St. Nicolas has a maze of stairways and some chambers inside it's cylindrical tower. Access to the very top gives breathtaking views of the sea... 更多
