I admit we really only went in to get out of the rain but I am glad we did! It was a well-presented walk through the early history of the city, with a lot of emphasis on the gold and other metal coins that have been found. Not too long, and some well-preserved ancient walls and buildings too. Well worth... 更多
The Audio-guide really is a good thing here to listen to, since it is very heplful in orienting you through the museum, next to all the information you hear. If your interested in roman Paris, than this museum is a must to see on your list!
An interesting perspective of the City, found at the north end of the Notre Dame plaza. The artifacts were quite significant, well placed, and told a good story of how the city was originally created and built over the years. Would be a very nice diversion on a hot day.
Surprisingly nice museum with lots of history and information. There are excavations shown inside this basement museum. It is under the plaza in front of Notre Dame. Nice signs in English giving good historical contact. Some cool 3D interactive screens that allow you to explore architecture through time and space.
We paid to get inside here without really knowing what we went to see. It was very interesting to see the Notre Dame cathedral in it's different stages, but other than that it was not too amusing to me.
We saw the entrance as we approached the Cathedral, it is a small museum that shows the history of the Ile de la Cite, frome Lutece through the middle ages, it was well researched and had some nice examples of Coins as well as some interesing 3D renders. My gripe is that it was small for the price of admission... 更多
One could easily walk right past the Archeological Crypt and not even notice it. You'll find the entrance at the furthest end of the plaza away from the Notre Dame cathedral, down a few steps. Fortunately, it was included in our "Paris Pass," so we knew to look for it! Dark and quiet, the crypt immediately drew us back in... 更多
We visited this area after our visit to Notre Dame since it is part of the Pedestrain Mall leading to Notre Dame. ( a staircase close to the street leads down into this area). This museum exhibits artifacts excavated between 1965 and 1972. It is believed that villages existed on this site dating back to the early 4th century. I... 更多
We have thought about doing this little museum the last couple of time while in Paris and we finally did. What a great museum! Well worth a visit and it doesn’t take that all day. I really loved seeing the old photos of what was in front of the Notre Dame Cathedral in the 1960’s...a parking lot! The visuals and... 更多
I'm puzzled how a recent reviewer could call this "bits of rubble with poor descriptions". Instead, I second the opinion of the reviewer who wrote "The origins of the city are beautifully described, illustrated and demonstrated. The photographical reconstructions displayed on the walls behind the real remains brought the stones to life. There's so much down here if you have the... 更多
