We walked from the walled St Malo along the beach and coastal path to get to this little gem of a place. It was an absolutely beautiful day and the views were stunning. We nearly missed it as it is only accessible by walking across a restaurant's land (it is mentioned on the restaurant board by their car park). We... 更多
The scratches of the time are very well visible. Sea erosion did an efficient job here. I have been there 30y ago and it had a very different view. But the spirit is still there. The naive stoned faces still present. Everlastingly smiling . One man (monk) who wanted to let his mark here for a long time. A surely... 更多
There is a price to pay to get in and beware the rocks are quite steep, certainly not a place for those unsure walking. Some very unusual rocks sculptures, takes about 30 minutes to have a good look round. Free car park on site,
We stumbled apon this whilst touring the coast. The sculptures were made over a 25 year period and cut into the rocks/cliffs just above the sea. Worth a detour to go and see if you have time. 30 minutes to look around.
On a recent trip to Rothéneuf we wanted to go and see the sculptured rocks on the beach at Rothéneuf. Our first surprise was the fact that you had to pay €2.50 to actually go and see them - you can see the rock formations at Ploumana'ch near Perros Guirec for free!! Our second surprise was how small the site... 更多
My husband and I were very wary of the access to all of the sculptures. Some are on the cliff edge with some uneven stone steps. As it had begun to rain we did not want to chance a fall so did miss quite a few of the sculptures. Not suitable for younsters or infirm
Some strange religious person spent time in late 19th to sculpt rocks representing mostly religious characters and scenes on this beautiful part of Brittany. It is something to see for its oddity, what I like better was the view over the ocean. Great!
Nice spot for a long walk -or a jog - from the old city, have a coffee on the terrace of the Benetin, the nice restaurant nearby, or at the village café nearby, in front of the Rotheneuf church
Whilst taking a walk around Rocheneuf, we came across this unique location. Located on the waters edge, rocks have been carved into various sculptures. The site isn't very big,but is interesting and a great place to relax. Wear good shoes, and just take care on the rocks. Only €2.50 euros to visit this hidden spot.
We stayed in an appartment next to the site, so for us it was very nearby! Some nice sculptures and nice view of the see! However the site is very small, so dont expect too much! In 10 minutes you have seen it! Not worth to drive all the way, but if it is on the route, you can make... 更多
