Loved this place that exceeded expectation. Informative, interactive and innovative. Something for all the family - my 7 year old was very well entertained. Good food in the cafe and restaurant too, although the restaurant is pricey and needs booking at the weekend.
This museum is difficult (but not impossible) to get to without a car. There is an admission fee. Many of the exhibits are electronic--recordings and videos--that require you to push a button to make them work. Unfortunately, quite a few were not operational. Informative displays on the ocean and its creatures. Perhaps the highlight is a virtual reality surfing experience.
We had good time there but we really like science museums. It seems to be very new. Everything is white with many spaces. You have several audiovisuals but all of them are in french. There is a 3d film where the kids try to reach the fishes and seahorses. The guides are in french spanish and english. Some of them... 更多

I found this very informative despite the hideous reviews some people have given this. I found the part about where oil is found very informative and the section about the arctic explorers also... 更多
We bought a combined ticket for this and the Aquarium. The Aquarium was amazing. However, this very contemporary looking building basically houses videos providing information on the Atlantic Ocean. I wouldnt' even really call it an 'interactive' expereince. There's nothing here that couldn't be learned from watching a DVD on the same subject. Quite a few of the headphones did... 更多
We went here as it was sold in a ''combi-ticket'' with Musee de la Mer. It's a little difficult to get to, and although I can definitely see the value for kids, it's probably not worth it for adults alone. A good couple of hours for any parents looking for an educational distraction, and some excellent exhibits...
It is in a designer building with a fabulous ocean view location so it was odd that everything for paying customers was downstairs except the staff who were all upstairs. I counted 8 selling and taking tickets upstairs. We were invited by Spanish friends and it reflected so poorly both on Biarritz and France. The powers that be don't seem... 更多
