Somewhat surprising to find a Buddhist Centre in town. Manchester has a large Chinese population so that may account for this centre. The centre is just one block away from the huge Arndale shopping centre, yet the atmosphere is calm and serene. Tucked away in the Northern Quarter (just down the street from the Centre for Contemporary Chinese Art), it... 更多
This is a must place to go. My mom is Budhist too, so we decide to visit this place whist in Manchester. Love to see different thing in here.
This is a lovely centre just situated down a side street in central Manchester. I am not a Buddhist but visited to ask about meditation classes. They advertise classes and events in the centre and have leaflets just outside the door. There is a lovely cafe based downstairs if your vegetarian/vegan and its perfect for lunch - they always have... 更多
We attended this beautiful temple for a wedding at the weekend! What an experience, from start to finish we were captivated by the wonderful sense of belonging! The bride and groom looked amazing in traditional Buddhist wedding attire and the whole ceremony was colourful and full of joy and warmth!!! Would love to visit again as there is a real... 更多
Lovely place, every time I'm around is always a good feeling of peace. It could be noisy (during drop-in sessions), but it's part of nature, you need to silence the environment and focus in your love. Great people at reception and instructors!
I attended the Buddhist centre while on a conference in Manchester. They offer daily meditations for the public, which was precisely what I needed. The centre is very open and welcoming. A nice vegetarian restaurant and interesting bookshop. As Buddhist visiting the city, I felt right at home!
A lovely space right in the heart of the Northern Quarter. Great place to try out meditation techniques. Friendly, sound people to be found here in abundance. Really good energy in the place. A real jewel in the heart of Manchester.
You can easily miss this little hotspot of an eatery as it is down the back streets of Manchester but it is definately worth seeking out. The food is delicious and it is all vegetarian or vegan. It has a most appealing calming atmosphere and it is always a delight to visit this little gem.
