Doncaster Minster has rather an interesting history for a church and is well worth a visit if you are in the area. There are also some roman age remains just outside the church so if you are interested in that information can be found inside and on the info board nearby.
We were in Doncaster with our race club again attending the 2 day June meeting and as we again stayed at the Premier Inn we were a stones throw from the Minster. A very interesting place to visit. The catheral stewards were very helpful and informative. Well worth a visit if you have a couple of hours to spare. Just minutes from Doncaster railway and bus station hub.
The South Yorkshire legal service was held here this year as a change from Sheffield Cathedral . It compared well with the magnificent stained glass windows illuminated by the morning sun. It is a beautiful and well maintained edifice and well worth a visit.

Very few towns are luck enough to have a church with the architectural quality of this one and Doncaster has two. This is well worth a look around and very welcoming people. Watty
