We have done the Guild Wheel ten times now. It's totally addictive and each time we do it we are always left wanting to do it again. My main tip is to go prepared. We have done it in all seasons and under all weather conditions. It can be very exposed in many areas. Make sure you take food and... 更多
I live half a mile from the Guild Wheel. I use part of it regularly to cycle through Preston as it's much more pleasant than cycling on the main roads through the city. I do ride the whole route sometimes, mainly in winter if the roads are icy, as I usually go out on my road bike on Sunday's and... 更多
I walk on the guild wheel every day. my own opinion but think it is one of the better things the council have spent money on. it is all flat and buggy or wheel chair friendly. also ideal for biking.
I have rode the Guild wheel a few times now. Clockwise and anti-clockwise and I find myself looking forward to the next time. Its well sign posted so you wont get lost. It takes you around the outskirts of Preston via lanes, paths and dirt tracks. Lots of great scenery to be seen as well as plenty of waterways and wildlife.... 更多
The 21 mile guild wheel route is very varied and quite challenging in places. it's mostly traffic free and on shared pedestrian/ cycle paths, which require great care from riders. It's a great concept and a real plus for Preston. I have ridden it many times and noticed recently some deteriation of the surfaces due to lack of maintenance. It's... 更多
We cycled the Guild Wheel for the first time today starting and finishing at Brockholes. The route is highly varied and mostly off road. It takes you through parts of Preston we didn't even know about..... Brockholes is lovely....other favourite stretches are through Avenham Park and by the River at the docks. This is such a great idea and clearly... 更多
Great off and on road circular trip around the outskirts of Preston. The road sections are safe enough for our 8 and 10 year old with care. The surface varies from smooth tarmac to gravel and it is undulating at times but the hills are short. It's very well signposted. There are a variety of things to see to make... 更多
My wife and I did the Guild Wheel recently and it is fantastic. A really good plus point for Preston and something we need to make sure is maintained and available for many years to come.
Great facility for the people of Preston and visitors. Takes you through some really great scenery & parts of Preston you would not normally get to . I don't like the bit through Durton Lane as you get some idiot car drivers but otherwise a really safe and enjoyable route
