A visit on the penultimate day of opening of the 2016 season saw us parking in the car park (a field) some 100 yards or so from Stoneacre. The approach is along a narrow country lane from the A20, so be prepared to slow down and pull in to a passing place if needs be. Crossing a ford, the approach... 更多
Was a lovely surprise as from the outside it looked like a plain and simple cottage. Staff very helpful and informative, especially with grandson as they took time to suggest were the answers for his sheet may be found without telling him so he felt very happy when he completed it. The restoration is very true to the period and... 更多
I pass by signs to Stoneacre on the way to work in the mornings! (I work for the National Trust at Sissinghurst) I have been wanting to visit for ages but work on Saturdays and Mondays - so as I had today off - this was my first opportunity to visit! On the last opening day of the year! I... 更多
I said in my last review that I would return in the summer and I did just that. As with my first visit the room guides were once again welcoming and friendly but not intrusive. I still found out more about this beautiful house and got to sit in the picture perfect gardens on a lovely, sunny afternoon. This time... 更多
A beautiful Tudor house set in woodland near Bearsted, Kent. It is small but gives a perfect example of life in those times.. The gardens are beautiful too. Well worth a visit.
We really enjoyed our recent visit. Stoenacre is a small property and only a few rooms are open to the public. There is a incredible great hall and the home contains some beautiful period furniture. The garden is small, but we had tea and cake in the garden on a lovely summers day. Overall and enjoyable visit.
Visited Stoneacre on an overcast Saturday- the only day it's open. The walk up the hill to the house is very steep but worth it when you catch the first glimpse of the Manor House. It's so tranquil and unspoilt. The gardens are a treat and the house is fascinating. Only a few rooms are open as it is a... 更多
I have been to Stoneacre every different season it is open. The gardens are lovely and if you walk through the house into the 'back gardens' the view is fantastic. They also have refreshments including homemade cakes & scones. It is, however, only open on a Saturday, but well worth the visit. There are a few rooms open and in the... 更多
I visited Stoneacre last Saturday and it was really beautiful. There were three rooms open to the public which were all very interesting. The volunteers were knowledgeable and helpful. But I have to say that it was the gardens that took my breath away. They are quite small but full of little surprises. The peonies were at their best along... 更多
This property has limited opening hours - but what a lovely setting and attractive garden. If time allowed it is the sort of garden to dwell in a while. The building is interesting when you look at the detail.
