The Ironbridge itself is fantastic and clearly historic. The shopping is good but lacks a little variety. Plenty of Coffee and cake. There is also no free cash point so be sure to take some cash with you.
Waited more years than I will admit to see this, so disappointed. The whole area under/near bridge is in great need of some T.L.C, has to be said really unkempt. It is what it says a bridge made of iron...end of.
The Ironbridge is one of the loveliest places around Telford and is a must visit! The only problem with it is the shops, theyre quite expensive and dont accept card payment, the local people are lovely and its a great walk for the family, for friends and it even makes a good cycle ride.
Amazing bridge which is a piece or architectural history. The toll house is still there with lots of interesting information. Very good views of the River Severn. We had never been to this area before and find it hard to believe that there is not more publicity of the area and various museums which are very varied and you can... 更多
It is great to see that this piece of architectural history has been preserved for future generations to see. The bridge is now only used by pedestrians, and the tollhouse has some interesting information about the building and restoration of the bridge since it was built. There are good views of the River Severn from both sides.
Can't believe We have never been to this area of historical interest and beauty. the bridge itself is an important bit of English history but it is just a bridge. However the surrounding area makes the visit very special. Ten museums in a small radius shows how the bridge came to be...as well as other industry around. GO..don't wait any... 更多
We took the children a walk down the river Severn at iron bridge, we walked under the bridge and looked at its construction the kids thought it was massive and marvellous. Then we walked over the bridge and took time to admire the glorious scenery. After that we went in the toll house where a very knowledgable lady explained to... 更多
The Ironbridge is steeped in history and marvellous architecture. I grew up here and am incredibly proud that the company my father worked for contributed to the building of this spectacular bridge. It's an iconic view, made even more special by the changing seasons. I've seen it covered in snow, covered in droplets of morning dew and bathed in sunlight.... 更多
Really worth a visit to the Iron Bridge. Walk along the River Severn under the bridge and then walk across the bridge. Visit the Tollhouse, it's free and will give you a brief outline of the bridge's history. The tollhouse is manned by volunteers who are very informative. If you're short of cash, the bridge itself and the toll house... 更多
Interesting to see an important piece of the heritage of the area. Free attraction but you did have to pay to park near it . Views along the river Severn spectacular
