Lovely building with interesting historical artefacts and facts such as napoleons sister being married to one of the wyse family of Waterford - apparently she wasn't the most faithful ! The ground and first floors are modelled on an 18th century town house . There's a handy cafe on the ground floor also . If you're up for it you... 更多

My husband and I visited the Bishop's Palace after touring the House of Waterford Crystal, Reginald's Tower, and the Medieval Museum. I will qualify my review by saying that I may have been a little "museum-ed out" at that point. We were given a guided tour of the magnificent Bishop's Palace shortly before Christmas 2016. The clarity, professionalism and erudition of the guide's talk was outstanding. It was easy to understand all she said and we were quite intrigued by the history she outlined for us. Even although there were only two of us, she was more than happy to... 更多

Every time I'm here I learn something new. Be sure to get a tour, their guides are so knowledgeable and passionate, they can answer nearly any question. I recommend going to the medieval museum first so you have a clear context before the wonderful details of the palace. This is a really fun museum for history buffs!!
