The falls themselves are beautiful, even though there was little enough water on the day we visited (hotest day of the year) A well paved walk from the car park takes you straight there so no need for climbing boots or wellies. The views of the surrounding Comeragh mountains and out over the land are stunning. While driving out, a... 更多
There is a lovely drive up to this beauty spot...you need to go slow as the road can be very narrow in places...having said that its well worth the visit...its a long walk from the car park at the top of the hill to the waterfall...so not really suitable for anyone with walking difficulties...but you can still see the falls... 更多
Would recommend the Comeragh mountain drive and the Mahon Falls waterfall but go on a bright, clear day or you will not see very much especially when there is mist/fog. Fantastic views. There is a 15 minute walk from car park to the waterfall but then you can appreciate the splendour of the surroundings and fab views. It is not... 更多
Quite a long drive along narrow roads, followed by a relatively long walk from car park to reach the actual falls. Worth the effort but not easy for very young children.
This is a ways off the main road, but worth the detour! We saw five different waterfalls during our recent trip to Ireland, but this was our favorite. It wasn't the tallest waterfall, but the view of the valley from the falls was stunning. Our kids (8 and 11) loved climbing the rocks. One of our favorite afternoon hikes!
This attractions is 100% free. You have park the car up the road in the car park and walk around 15 mins to the water fall while enjoying the views. The waterfall is not gigantic, rather small buy cute. You can even climb a bit a get to a couple spots where water is retained forming like a pool. Water... 更多
Cloudy, windy and rainy. That's how the day I went to Mahon Falls looked and felt like. But it was really nice the path, the trail, the views, the sounds, the animals, the trees... the smell. It was a lovely experience, just to stay there a few time, chilling and feeling the power of nature.
A beautiful drive nearby waterford city and lovely to go with friends and families. You can trek around the comeragh mountain or can just go for a nice drive anyday. My arrival started with a small snow fall for couple of minutes and then a spectacular sunshine right after. Amazing trip and a must go place. An important thing to... 更多
Parking is easy. On the day we went we were the only visitors, so it was wonderfully peaceful. It's an easy walk from the car park to the waterfall, and the view is lovely - you can see right down to the sea. Well worth the visit, and lets children run off some pent-up energy!
I only ended up going here due to a colleague informing me of the magic road - what a shame it must have been for the cars full of families which went around us - Granted it is a narrow part of the road, definitely a must do if you are on the way and let those behind you either... 更多
