Union wood has some great trails,the only setback is signage is not great and you would need to have good sense of direction to avoid getting lost.The trek u to Union rock is well worth the effort (35 nins or so) but the views from the rock are first class.

Fantastic opportunity to explore another part of sligo. Slightly off the beaten track as it's not the easiest to find, but you can gain access from collooney near the gulf petrol station.
