It is so peaceful there, just taking time out and remembering how lucky we are to be able to enjoy the freedom those young men died form. it is hard to believe you are so close to the roadway, there was no noise from the traffic.

Mayo Memorial Park is full of memorial graves of people who died in several wars. Besides of that it'll give you a mass of memories in the Cemetery next to it. A very big wall with hundreds of names of people, died in service for their country, to keep their contribution alive and that they never will be forgotten.

This is a beautiful memorial to all the Mayo people who died in War . In in a great location beside Lough Lannagh a lovely park and walkway . Well done to all the people that keeps it looking so well
Visiting this park is good for old and young to commemorate that what som many died for in WW1, also have demanded sacrifices in our lifetime. And still new generations will have to stand up to defend our freedom. A good place for reflection.
