We found this by accident as it isn't on the medieval mile or necessarily one of the highly sought after attractions. Also, by comparison it is quite new, as it was built during the 1800's. Regardless, it is well worth the stop and is attached to a convent with an Order of nuns who still live there
Absolutely beautiful church inside and out,my parents where married here in 1973 and i got married here in 2003 its a fabulous church and worth a visit to say hi to the man himself.
We visit this church by mistake, because we thought it was the cathedral. Anyway, we went inside and took a look and it is an average church, nothing exciting. It is not ugly, and maybe it worth the time to visit.
Right outside downtown Kilkenny it's a beautiful cathedral with gorgeous stained glass on the inside. Although it's not very large, it's always open for people to go in and have a look. Definitely worth stopping in to if you're in town.
A bit of a walk but a very beautiful one. Came upon this by accident but what great views and even a black cat to go with the grave yard that surrounds the church!
What a fantastic find. I was fortunate enough to attend the Kilkenny Choir perform 'Sacred music from Paris' supported by the Kilkenny youth choir. A polished professional performance given by all, testament to the talents of founder and conductor Phil Edmondson. If you see a concert advertised make sure you book it. I can't recommend them enough. .
