As far as attractions go, I spose it is the poor cousinn to the castle. Its signicance is it was the stables for the castle. Now the craft gallery which is worth a look. nice to just potter about looking at the crafts.
Lots of variety although a touch pricey. Still if you have limited time, this will give you access to all of the things you think you need to take home.
This is a beautiful area to have a walk and browse around. Great use of a beautiful building. Well worth a look around. We met a man working on the McCarthy cup.
Couldn't wait to see this craft gallery and was not disappointed. Lots of artisans creating beautiful pieces. Especially enjoyed the chance to meet and talk to the two amazing silversmiths we met there.
converted into lovely high end shops and galleries right across from the Castle. helpful staff and they can ship to the states
The craft gallery is filled with artisans and shops displaying local crafts. It is in a very notable setting, built into what used to the stables and other parts of the castle. That makes it fun to look around. It is fairly large, so there is a broad range of products. Right across the street from the castle.
The craft gallery is what was once the stable yards for the castle at Kilkenny. There is also a dower house behind this with beautiful gardens. The crafts are displayed and for sale in the shops.
