What a place, I played with some friends and we were all very happy with the staff and the course also. Pro shop has a great selection, we had food afterwards and we were not dissapointed. I know Killarney Golf & Fishing club have had a tough few months with regards to flooding and I could see that the staff... 更多
Played here several times and have generally enjoyed it. You get problems from time to time as members decide to cut through holes or caddies with single players insist on pushing through. The course is still in recovery from very bad flood damage last year that leaves some greens still pretty bumpy. But the views are stunning and the overall... 更多
The course is well worth a visit. The opening holes are weak, but around the second nine the hole gain interest. Unfortunately many holes are similar: long par 4's with generous greens. Easy to walk, maintenance unfortunately not great with many GUR areas. The surroundings with lake and mountains are simply gorgeous, I hope the course will mimic this grandeur... 更多
The course was much too wet on January 16 to consider playing, but just driving through was a fascinating adventure. The views from several places on the drive were splendid: lake, fairways, mountains. Our guide told a classic Killarney weather story. He played the fifth hole three years ago and when he teed off the sun was shining. He hit... 更多
Both courses are wonderful, but the one North of the clubhouse we liked best. I remember huge deer grazing in the rough rather close to the fairways. A great sight. No caddy needed here.
We played Mahony's Point on Sunday afternoon after arriving from the US the same morning. A perfect course to start our trip. After a great breakfast in the clubhouse we changed and tee'd off. Not a links course but beautiful lakeside fairways and mountain views. Not as difficult as our subsequent rounds at Tralee, Old Head, Waterville or Ballybunion but... 更多
We played two courses at the Killarney Golf & Fishing Club, Mahony's Point and Killeen. Killeen was the more difficult of the two courses with the first few holes on the water. Killeen has also hosted the Irish Open a number of times. We had a great time playing. Steady pace and no one breathing down your neck.
I have been visiting Killarney and its golf courses since 1990, but not been back for several years. It was raining when I arrived and was so intense that our first game was cancelled due to the courses being closed. The following day we played Mahoney's which was still damp but well playable. The course is fun to play, especially... 更多
We weren't sure if you were allowed access to the restaurant, but the large sign on the roadside made us curious and we ventured in. The food was good bar food, but we did feel like noses were being turned up at us. That hasn't put us off going back though, as it is on one of the many cycle... 更多
