over hyped. Tour buses galore makes for slow and restricted sight seeing. There are many other areas that are more dramatic than Kerry such as Dursey Island
It's all been said by others beforehand. It's a long drive but some of the scenery is breathtaking ranging from the mountains on one side to the sea and cliffs the other side. It can get a bit busy but that shouldn't stop you. We went clockwise and it was fine. We met some coaches bit nothing too scary although... 更多
We took the tour booked at the hotel, full day. The lunch stop cost was not included in the price, but for 20 euro a great price. While everyone was not into taking pictures, the driver had no problem stopping as long as a person needed to take a proper snap. The weather was generally good with one shower and... 更多
We took the advice we had read and started the ring from the Killarney end and so pleased we did. The buses go anticlockwise and we were lucky enough to meet the majority of them when they had stopped for lunch. It is a beautiful drive but if you want to stop to go through museums etc you will need... 更多
Had a very informative driver on our coach tour. Would recommend going by coach as some roads are very narrow and can be shrouded in mist. Some interesting stops on the way. Lovely scenery.
You should take a couple of days to drive the entire Ring of Kerry as there is so much to see. The landscape like non other. Highly recommend to anyone traveling in Ireland
But otherwise, avoid it. It will take a whole day and if you don't get fog, rain, etc, then you might actually get to see things for the day, but don't count on it. What you get to see, of course, is a lot of cliffs, sea, cows, sheep, cliffs and sea. It just isn't worth a whole day.
