Nice island with small castle. Take bread with you - there are a lot of very hungry ducks. There is a pier with small boats to Inishfallen Island and Abbey and other parts of Killarney National Park. Has small cafe and toilets.
Park at Ross Castle to have a wander around the castle grounds, then carry on through the forest to see ruins of the old Copper Mine and Governor's Rock. Along the way there are some lovely views and gorgeous spots to sit and take in the views over Lough Leane.
Visited the area on numerous occasions but first time in a jaunting car arriving via the Killarney Park and the lake side.
