It was an unexpectedly beautiful Saturday in Galway. City center was bustling and we were touring the city for a day. It was time for a rest and an afternoon drink. We were looking for something outdoors but everything was packed, so we opted for inside at Garavans. What a treat! The place was friendly and fun, while also relaxing.... 更多
a really really nice place. This is an obligatory stop if you're visiting Galway. An excellent place to drink with friends in a typical irish background!
This was the first pub we walked into when we got to Galway and they greeted us like family/old friends. We have been back every day since we got here, awesome live local music. Great memories have been made.
Recently had the pleasure of visiting Gravans Bar and was glad to have done so. Lovely atmosphere, great beer, locals and excellent bar staff. A bit let down by the fact that it was like a fridge in there as there didn't appear to be any heating. That aside, a really great bar to meet up with friends and enjoy... 更多
Friendly old time bar with seating under a canopy outside. Near Brown Thomas/Shopping Area. We just had drinks. Dont know if they do food or not. Music in the evenings. I loved the atmosphere. Good bar staff
The best whiskey bar in Galway and possibly in all of Ireland. Brian was terrific and they also have great music.
We popped in here on a Sunday for a coffee before our long drive back to Belfast. It was busy but we got served immediately and my request of a Caribbean coffee was happily catered to. And I have to say it was one of the best I've had. It was a shame we were driving as we would have... 更多
This is a really old style Irish Pub in the middle of the shopping area. The pub is a bit dark inside but this adds to the charm of it. There's a really lovely cosy atmosphere here. We visited here twice over 2 days when we were shopping as the Irish Coffee's were so good! It's definitely a pub to... 更多
Nice atmosphere , comfortable and lovely friendly gentleman behind the bar. Maybe could have been slightly warmer.
This was our go-to pub for a 3-day stay. Genuine and authentic, despite a lot of travelers like ourselves, as it draws in locals and other Irish folks as well. Brian than bar manager gave me two day lesson on Irish whiskies. Teelings single grain, and yellow spot, Connemarra if you fancy some peat, who needs Scotch? Service was very... 更多
