Fabulous views and beautiful for walks.there is a lovely beach as well. This is one of the most beautiful places and you will meet plenty of very friendly visitors and people living in the surrounding areas.
If you like to walk then this comes highly recommended. There is a 5 kilometer walk along the beach, the pavement is good and if you want you can ride a bike along this road as well. Walking along the water up to the 0romenade was a great way to spend the day! There are plenty of shops and even a casino you can visit! Loved Galway!
If walking to and from the Salthill Prom isn't your cup of tea I would recommend walking there on the way out and taking a bus on the way back. It's a wonderful stroll with stunning views. Kick the wall at the end and turn right back around or climb the diving posts to dangle your feet over the water.... 更多
Beautiful and wide promenade well used by locals, families, dog walkers, and tourist. Perfect for an after dinner stroll. Sea breeze is so refreshing.
Great little promenade outside of Galway City. We ignored the bus and took a walk through the town; down shop street and out to the quay. And walked close to the coast until we reached the promanade. We took a windy walk from Galway City Center along the Salthill promenade. Our walk was 2 - 3 miles. Scenic Galway Bay on one side and shops and restaurants across the street made for an interesting stroll.
Don't come to Galway without heading out to salthill for a stroll on the prom. It's only a few minutes from the city by bus, taxi or a short walk. It doesn't matter if the weather is wild (probable) or the is sun splitting the rocks (possible), either way it is beautiful and exhilarating to walk the prom and take... 更多
