Rain, rainbow, sun, blue sky, clouds, wind, and more ... all experienced along the same walk on the Salthill promenade, a vast, open, and peacful space that starts right outside the medieval city and extends for at least one hour! Enjoy the seasons! (May)
A walk. a run. a cycle. a dog walk .photographing etc. Anything you want to do to unwind just do it. It's a walk way. And you get what you expect. But summer provides a great atmosphere and winter brings spectacular views of waves autumn and spring bring great sunsets and sunrises
We were here in March, and it was like a strong chill passing through you. The strong chilly Atlantic wind pierced through the body. Nevertheless a great place to walk and have a drink. There is a big public parking at the entrance.
Spent 2 days of National School mid term break here when Sun splitting the stones. Beautiful soft sand, lovely, clean but cold sea for quick dips. Very safe at base of fantastic very lengthy promenade. Very family friendly, no messers. Loved it. View out Galway Bay across at Burren Mountain in Clare, spectacular!
