This wild and wonderful, secluded valley is a must for anyone visiting the Scottish Highlands. It is protected by a locked gate that keeps car number to a manageable level. I have never seen so many stags in the one place. It is reputed to be the most beautiful glen in the Highlands, and I won't argue. We were the... 更多
It is hidden away far from the madding crowd - a private glen allowing only 25 cars daily through the padlocked gates - we were lucky if we saw half a dozen cars when we visited! A stunning drive up to the top of the glen via an ever changing landscape painting of beauty- you can get out and walk... 更多

This is a hidden gem .The most spectacular scenery you can find, excellent wild life. A good selection of walks / cycling available to suit all. The only down side is midges so go prepared ! But don't let them put you off.
BEUATIFUL GLEN stunning views and wonderful walking Apart from the gatekeeper at the head who lets you in once you're by that its just one of the mos wonderful places on EARTH
Firstly, the lady in the cottage who acts as gatekeeper was truly fantastic, issuing us a pass and allowing us access to the Glen. It's so critical that people are present who will continue to maintain access to these precious spaces for all- they do not deserve to be hidden away amongst the estates of the absurd. Right, access rant... 更多
Spent a wonderful afternoon in Glen Strathfarrar. The narrow roads were not a problem as we only saw another couple of cars the whole time we were there. You can drive at your own very leisurely pace with frequent stops to view the scenery and wildlife and the picturesque loch and dam at the end of the road. Highly recommended.
With ample parking space just before the gatehouse on the left, this is s great walk in any season. Walking on a clear track along fields by the river, you can stay choose to continue at a low level of climb up from the hydro station for fabulous views.
