A truly magnificent building located on the banks of the river Clyde. Impressive gothic design. Lovely details. Couldn't go inside because it was closed and opens at particular hours. Thought I'd be able to return later but didn't. I'm sure the inside must be amazing!
As I was visiting the city I thought I would drop by St Andrew's Cathedral as I had not visited before. Wonderful place to visit - peaceful and scerene and beautifuuly decorated. Unlike many Anglican Cathedrals there is no charge to visit and the cathedral welcoems everyoen and anyone. As a result of the huge Italian Community in the city... 更多
The qualtiy of light in the cathedral on a dull day was striking. There are 2 side chapels with very interesting history An organist was practising when we were there, most enjoyable

St. Andrew's is just around the corner from the Holiday Inn, Stockwell Street. A remarkable job has been done cleaning this Cathedral and it's worth a visit even if it's just to see the stained glass windows.
A beautiful cathedral, that included a set of Holy Doors in this year of mercy, what a treat! Wonderful architecture inside and out. Lovely location across from the river. Nice to spend a few moments thanking God for our safe journey.
Recently attended a wedding in this beautiful church. The calm atmosphere in total contrast to the bustling city centre. Stunning interior and wonderfully imposing painting by Peter Howson. Acoustics are fabulous.
Our son had his wedding here and it was absolutely beautiful. The architecture is amazing and the stain glass windows are breath taking. It's a very bright and airy church and doesn't feel crowded even when packed out. Well worth a visit or go to a mass in this cathedral if you're visiting the city.
