We had heard so much about the Cambo Estate, especially the snowdrops. We popped in while staying in St Andrews. The estate is in rather a transition phase at the moment with massive developments on the go. Consequently, it seemed like they weren’t expecting many visitors, to the point where we struggled to find someone to pay our entrance fee... 更多
This garden is worth a visit by all plant lovers. The Prairie Garden was at its best. The plants thrive with no staking and to see their movement in the wind gives another dimension. The Walled Garden is vast and although it is towards the end of the season there is still plenty of variety and colour. It was nice... 更多
Visited with my wife and Labrador. The walled gardens are beautiful and worth seeing. Then went on the woodland walk with our dog which was very relaxing and Oscar (our dog) really enjoyed it. Ended up in the cafe for a drink. Dogs are allowed in just about all areas including the cafe. Very pleasant visit
The two acre (?) walled garden is quite stunning for the depth, variety and longevity of the plantings. A beneficial microclimate enables a huge range of plants to prosper. It's clearly not a finished thing. There are mature areas, some ripe for sorting, and some that are being sorted. I'm not a horticulturalist, my partner is, but even I was... 更多
4 grown ups and 4 kids had a great day on the imagination trail. Kids ranging from nearly 2 to nearly six had a great time splashing in puddles and keeping their eyes open for fairy houses in the trees. A magical fairy door led in to the start of the trail where the children were encouraged to draw, sculpt... 更多
It costs 5 pounds each to see the gardens. They needed weeding and there were several empty little plots throughout. In the height of summer, I was surprised that it was not more well-groomed and complete.
Absolutely lovely! If you like gardens then you will love this one. The walled garden is huge and full of interesting plants and features. They also welcomed our doggy and he was allowed everywhere we were allowed! The weather was mixed and during a sudden down-pour we took shelter under one of the wooden type pagoda's. For the rest of... 更多
Accessible by bus, beach path or road. The best way to arrive is from the Fife Coastal Path. A lovely cool walk through deciduous native trees by the byrne, where in Spring there are carpets of snowdrops and in Summer is the scent of wild garlic, brings you to the house and gardens. The grounds are open to the public... 更多
Not to be missed walled garden and woodland walk down to the coastal path. We were a little early in the year for the flowers but still delightful.
Visited Cambo today with friends. Weather was delightful, and today was free entry around the gardens, house, stables. Free access was because there was a food festival today. Had lunch, soup and filled roll - very good! Wandered around the gardens, house and down to the beach.....and had to have a drink and traybake too. Would recommend all to visit... 更多
