This is a very informative visit. The caskets that were gifted to Carnegie are really beautiful to look at. There are so many different examples of them. The house itself is well laid out with lots to look at. Worth a visit.
Enthusiastic and friendly volunteers, with a comprehensive knowledge of Andrew Carnegie, as well as the Dunfermline district, made this a fascinating outing.
I suspect this is probably interesting for all the people who know nothing about Carnegie, but I already did know quite a bit about him. This is the man who was, most famously, responsible for Carnegie Hall in New York (and its namesake in Dunfermline.) A lot of information and a fantastic staff. Especially Ronnie...great guy ! Really went out of his way to inform and even had some tips for other travel we were doing in the area.
