I visited on a fairly miserable July day but the enthusiasm of the volunteers was heart warming. There is a great short video to start off your visit - don't miss it - then you start your long, slow climb up through the property. I am nearer seventy than seventeen but still managed to climb to the roof space. The... 更多

This massive tower is worth visiting for its massive construction, its historic associations with the once-great Erskine family and the Earls of Mar and for the views from the rooftop. We live in Alloa and go here regularly. It's a good size and they put on costumed guided tours throughout the year. If you pay full price, it's quite dear, but worth a visit if you are already a national trust member.
