A good walking area easily within reach of Aberdeen. depending on the walk there are good view and woodland to walk though. If you care to find them there are sculptures though the forest. I walked from Tyrebagger around Elrick hillther are however many options.
This is a beautiful place for walkers. You can just walk through the woods. There are sculptures to find - I still have not found them all. There are hills as well as flat groud. Kirkhill Forrest has good facilities and the car park can be found on satnav at AB21 0TU There are many good walks from here for walking, running and cycling. There are good views from the Tappie Tower which is a Victorian Folly. You may be able to see the Mither Tap to the North which is the hill at Bennachie.... 更多
My first visit on this easy but interesting walk through the woodland and around the hill. Take in the views and in winter enjoy the silver stems of the Mountain ash trees as they shine in the light. Some interesting sculptures to discuss with friends on the way around
fantastic places for mountain biking. We visit here quite often with our bikes and there is a vast range of trails in varying difficulties. Can be quite wet at times but always good fun. Not too far from the centre of Aberdeen either
The trail can be quite muddy in places so be prepared. There is a portable toilet facility near the trail entrance but needs a cleaning. Be careful to watch for the signposts.
