A stunning drive with fabulous dramatic scenery. One of my favourite drives in Scotland. With beautiful beaches and fantastic mountain views. A memorable experience, that always brings a smile of amazement. Definitely a must do.

The Road to the Isles is absolutely amazing. The beaches are beautiful as are the small islands you can swim out to. The blue water dazzling. So many different views. We are definitely going to take a camping trip there.
Albeit several parts of the road between Fort William and Mallaig have been altered and widened it is still one of the most scenic stretches of tarmac in Europe. I've been touring this route for more than 40 years now and I'm still loving it. If you'd stop at every place of beauty it would take you months to complete...
